Jack K. Dolan, age 86, passed away Sunday, October 25, 2009.
Jack served in Burma during World War II. He was a prop specialist in the Army Air Force. He was a member of the Cement Masons Local 11-161 for 55 years. Member of the Croatian Cultural Club, Loyal Order of Moose Lodge and the American Legion.
Jack is survived by one son, John (Ann) Dolan of Findlay, IL; two daughters, Donna (Ted) Bostrom of Crest Hill and Sandra (Richard) Kapinus of Diamond, IL: five grandchildren, Sara (George) Kiddy, Elisa Dolan, Michelle Bostrom, Michael Bostrom, and Christina Kapinus; two great-grandchildren, Nichole and Adysen Kiddy; his wife, Bernadine Boris; and two stepdaughters, Sharon Fonck and Amy Gorecki. Jack will fondly be remembered for his infectious smile and his tremendous dancing skills. He enjoyed the annual fishing trips in Canada and was an avid gardener and exceptional cook. One of his proudest achievements was receiving his private pilots license from Lewis University.
Preceded in death by his beloved wife, Ann V. Dolan (Sept. 2000); brother, Gene Dolan; three sisters, Edna Heinemeyer, Phyllis Dolan and Augusta Dolan.
