Frank S. Stegg was born February 1870 to Joseph Stegg and Theresa Stegg. He had five siblings and learned farming from his father. In June of 1894 he married Louisa Katherine Beck and together they had four children. For a brief time Frank was a saloon keeper in Adams, Ohio and then moved his family to Adrian, Lenawee, Michigan and was a farmer for over 20 years. He died at the age of 59.
