Miss Esther Trumbull, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Henry Trumbull of Plainville, Conn., was married at the Plainville Congregational church at 7 o'clock October 2nd. (1931) to Henry Stafford Kellam of Machipongo, Va. The church was decorated with banks of white chrysanthemums, woodwardia ferns and palms, and the altar was lighted with all white candles. Rev. J. Roy Wilkerson officiated.

The bride, who was given in marriage by her father, was attended by her cousin, Mrs. John Coolidge of New Haven, as matron of honor, and Mrs. F. Scott Rogers, of Cleveland, O., Miss Jean Trumbull, Miss Dorothy Clark and Mrs. Eldred Minor as Bridesmaids. John Murphy of Charleston, W. Va., was best man and the ushers were: John Coolidge of New Haven, Pierce Clark and Eldred Minor of Plainville and F. Scott Rogers of Cleveland, Ohio.

The bride wore a princess gown of ivory bridal satin with a long train, and her tulle veil fell from a Juliet cap of roses point lace, held with orange blossoms. She carried white orchids and lillies of the valley. The matron of honor wore a gown of turquoise blue velvet made princess style, with lace mitts and shoes to match. She carried pink roses tied with turquoise blue satin ribbon and tulle. The bridesmaids wore similar dresses of peach velvet with matching shoes and mitts. They carried bouquets of pink roses, delphinium and African daisies.

A reception followed the ceremony at the Shuttle Meadow club which was a profusion of ferns, palms and fall flowers. Mr. and Mrs. Kellam left for a wedding trip to Quebec, Canada, the bride wearing a green traveling suit with blue fox collar and cuffs, brown hat and shoes. They will be at home after November 15th, in Franktown, Va.
