Ricky Earl Cartwright, age 55, died Thursday, October 22, 2009, at a local hospital. He was a lifelong resident of Pensacola and a member of Cottage Hill Assembly of God.
He is preceded in death by his father, William Earl Cartwright, and grandparents, Mamie and Willie Johnson.
He is survived by his beloved wife of 28 1/2 years; two daughters, Danielle Cartwright and Whitney Cartwright; beloved granddaughters, Alyssa, Annelise, and Kaylin; his family friends, Jamal Robinson and Brian Harper; his mother, Esta Mae Cartwright; brother, Larry Cartwright; and sister, Sandra (Freddie) Crow.
Funeral services will be held 3:00 p.m. on Wednesday, October 28, 2009 at Faith Chapel North - Cantonment with Pastor Ron McGlothern officiating. Interment will follow at Cottage Hill Assembly of God Cemetery.
Active pallbearers will be Tim Talbot, Donnie Fischer, Terry Capps, Johnny Hammock, Bruce Lee, Jeff Johnson, Josh Johnson, and Michael Largayy. Honorary Pallbearers will be Fred Johnson, Raymond Davis, Dennis Griffis, Jimmy Johnson, Ricky Davis, and Roger Bohannon.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Tuesday, October 27, 2009 from 6 to 8 p.m.
