Mathilda Lange was named after her german grandmother. Mathilda was a daughter of Gusttave and Otillie (priebe) Lange. they made sure that their children had the best education available at the time. The Tetz homestead property was located just a field and a road away from the Lange property on Dutch canyon road. Both the Lange and Tetz families have continued live on property in the same area since at least the 1880's.

The center heart has an inscription it looks like the marriage year. I cant read it from this photo but I will try to get a better one
