Zelma H. Burke, 83, died May 7 at Williamson Medical Center. A native of Paris, Tenn., Mrs. Burke was a resident of Claiborne & Hughes Convalescent Center in Franklin for the past three years. She was employed as a salesperson in the drapery department at Sears in Nashville for 30 years until her retirement in 1970. Mrs. Burke was the mother of the late Betty J. Petty. Survivors include three sisters, Mrs. Sam Harris of Hattisburg, Miss., Mrs. Linda Woodfin of Bunnell, Fla., and Mrs. Earl Pond of Nashville; four grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren and one great-great grandchild. Funeral services were May 9 at Wailer Chapel In Nolensville with the Rev. L.T. Carden officiating. Burial was in Triune Cemetery. REVIEW-APPEAL May 11, 1988
