Adolph Bruder was the son of Martha Domke and Ferdinand Bruder.

Adolph was a Sargent in the 12 US Cavalry, US Army. He drowned in the Rio Grande River in Texas while trying to save a friend's life. Full military honors were conducted at his funeral according to the Brownsville Herald and the Presque Isle Advance.
