Mrs. Maggie Adkinson, age 75, of Cicero, R.1 , died Friday afternoon at Riverview Hospital where she had been a patient for the past three weeks. She had been ill since 1961.
Born Dec. 20,1892 in Tipton County, she was the daughter of Alvin and Viola James. She had lived in the Cicero area most of her life. She worked at both the Cicero and Arcadia Canning Companies.
The deceased was married Dec. 24, 1915 in Frankfort to Roy Adkinson who survives. Other survivors are four daughters, Miss Emma Lois Adkinson, Ft. Lauderdale, Fla., Mrs. Clara Jane Myers, Hitchcock, Texas, Mrs. Virginia May Witherow, Muncie, and Mrs. Helen Rebecca McCarley, Elcajon, Cal.
Also surviving are one sister, Mrs. Clara Ellen Goodnight, Russiaville, five grandchildren, and two great grandchildren.
