Helen Elaine Gatewood, daughter of Harry O. Gatewood and Eva Ruth Burns was born June 30, 1925 in Scottsbluff, NE.
She was one of six children.
Helen was united in marriage to John Leroy Miller on July 25, 1942 in Papillion, NE. To this marriage four children were born. In 1986 John and Helen retired and moved to Rulo, NE.
Helen was a devoted wife, loving mother, and grandmother she enjoyed spending time with her family most of all.
Helen remained living in Rulo until entering Careage Estates in Falls City, NE. It is there that on October 14, 2009 she passed away having reached the age of 84.
She was preceded in death by her parents and step father Floyd C. Happy, husband John, daughter Linda L. Adams two grandchildren Bryan McKern and Brandon Witt. Brothers Roy Gatewood and Melvin Gatewood; sisters Harriett Life and Mary Saab. She is survived by a sister Wanda Lamb of Omaha, NE, daughters Ruth Miller of Falls City, NE, Ellen Coburn and Kathie McKern of Rulo, NE Son-in-laws Gary Adams and Richard McKern of Rulo, NE, her best friend Dorthy Carlson of Omaha, NE, 11 grandchildren, 32 great-grandchildren, and 7 great– grandchildren.
