MRS. CORNELIA FLUKE IS TAKEN BY DEATH
Mrs. Cornelia Isabelle Fluke, 89, died at the home of a son, H. R. Fluke, Lubbock, Texas, on Saturday, Oct. 11, 1947. She was an aunt of Charles Fluke of Chariton.
Mrs. Fluke was born in Lucas county, Iowa, Sept. 15, 1858. She was Cornelia Isabelle Foster before her marriage to O. C. Fluke in 1878. They moved to Oklahoma in 1903. In 1908, they moved to Plainview, Texas and lived there until Mr. Fluke's death Oct. 5, 1940. Mrs. Fluke moved to Lubbock afterward.
Survivors include three sons, Stewart Fluke and H. R. Fluke of Lubbock and O. S. Fluke of San Francisco; three daughters, Mrs. J. B. Johnson of Denver City, Mrs. Bill Stovall of Pasadena, Calif., and Mrs. Pearl Strickland of Falcon, N. M.; 30 grandchildren and 37 great-grandchildren. Two sons and two daughters preceded her in death.
