Son of Peter Woodling and his wife Hannah. He married Tillilah "Matilda" Catherine Meckes. Together they had ten children:

Amos B. Woodling was born and reared in the Reeders area and always lived there. He was a farmer and member of the Methodist Episcopal Church at Reeders. Amos died at his home at Reeders. (Obit in "Stroudsburg Times", Thursday, 12 December 1907, pg. 4)
