George Allen Grace, Retired Farmer, Dies; Services Thursday
Funeral services for George Allen Grace, 80, who died this morning at 2:55 at the Jackson-Madison County General Hospital, will be held at the Calvary Baptist Church at 3 o'clock Thursday afternoon with the pastor, Dr. James Canaday assisted by Dr. R. E. Guy, pastor of the West Jackson Baptist Church officiating
Mr. Grace had been 1n failing health for the past two years, his condition became critical about two weeks ago. He was born in Gibson County and spent 12 years in Texas but had spent the remainder in Jackson and vicinity. Mr. Grace was a retired farmer and a member of the Calvary Baptist Church.
He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Florence Grace of Jackson; five sons, W. J. Grace. Flint Michigan; Roy I. Grace, Humboldt; W. G. Grace, Jackson; L. L. Grace, Jackson, and John I. Grace, of Lavinia; one daughter, Mrs. Rubye Todd of Jackson; one sister, Mrs. Fannie Gaskins of Westover; 25 grandchildren, and 13 great-grandchildren.
The body will be at Alexander-Wray Funeral Home until the funeral hour Burial will be Hopewell Cemetery near Medina.
The following grandsons are requested to be at the funeral home at 2:30 Thursday:
Eugene Grace, Adolphus Lee Grace, George Todd, Roy Ivan Grace, Jr., LeVon Grace, and Noble Grace. Alexander-Wray will be in charge.
