Mrs Nettie Johnson Bailey, 89, of Danville, died Friday in Boone Memorial Hospital after a long illness. She is survived by 175.
She was a member of Olive Branch Baptist Church, Turtle Creek.
Surviving; daughters, Violet Hale of Turtle Creek, Erma Hale of Madison, Gladys Asbury of Uneeda, Nora Adkins of Brachland; sons, Rush Miller of Harrisburg, Pa, Arnold Miller of Logan, step-daughters Lena Brown of Ottawa, Rosa Graley of Julian, Fannie Hunter and Dora Barker of Chapmanville, Bessie Burgess of Hinton, Myrtle Adkins and May Vinson of Branchland, Bessie Salmons of Peytona; stepsons, Omer Miller of Jeffrey, David Johnson of Ronceverte, Gaylord Johnson of Louisiana, Willie Johnson of Kentucky, Henry Johnson of Ottawa, Woodrow Johnson of Washington, Mellice Johnson of Connecticut, Claude Bailey and Charles Bailey of Logan, Walter Bailey of Detroit, Mich.
Sisters; Lena Pauley of Leet, Hattie Runion and Eller Faubes of Holden, Mattie Thornton of Idaho; brother, Wilbur Vannetter of Logan; 39 grandchildren; 99 great-grandchildren; 8 great-great-grandchildren.
Service will be noon Sunday at Handley Funeral Home, Danville with the Rev Michael Hobbs officiating. Burial will be in the Johnson Cemetery, Danville.
Singers will be "The Believers". Pallbearsers will be Clarence Buskirk, Mike Hager, Howard Pritchard, Everett Pritchard, Tony Pritchard, and Raymond Hager.
