Blackville, July 16 [1941] -- Eugene Francis Boylston, 74, died at his home in Blackville today following a lingering illness.
Mr Boylston was a life-long resident of Blackville and was one of its leading citizens and farmers. He had been public cotton weigher for 45 years.
He was a senior deacon of the Blackville Baptist Church of which he had been a member for the past 62 years. He was a charter member of the Blackville camp, Woodmen of the World.
He is survived by his widow, Mrs Dorothy Boylston; one son, George Boylston;
one sister, Mrs G F Hair of Bamberg, and a number of nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be conducted at 4 pm Thursday from the Baptist church by the Rev P D Walker, and the Rev L H Payne. Interment will follow in the Blackville cemetery.
