Madison - Karl F. Miller, age 85, of 1225 Elizabeth Street, passed away on Saturday, August 1, 1981 in a Madison hospital. Born on July 20,1896, in Milwaukee, he had been a life-long Madison resident. He was employed as a postman for a period of forty years and retired on March 27, 1964. He was married to the former Rebecca H. Wood, who preceded him in death on December 18, 1980. He was a member of Bethel Lutheran Church. Survivors are a son, William S. of Florida; a daughter, Ida Mae Dobson of Maryland; eight grandchildren; and three great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, August 4, at 2 p.m. at the Bethel Lutheran Church at 312 Wisconsin Avenue with the Reverend Willard Lund officiating. Burial will be at 4 p.m. at Oak Hill Cemetery in Merrimac, Wisconsin. Friends may call at the church on Tuesday. The Ryan Funeral Home at 2415 Sherman Avenue is in charge of arrangements.
