PARK HILL – Graveside services for Billy Andrew Post will be held on Thursday, Sept. 18, 2014 at 10 a.m. at Price Cemetery with Brother George Stanley officiating. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, Sept. 17, from noon until 6 p.m. at the Reed-Culver Chapel. Interment will be held at Price Cemetery. Online condolences for the family may be left at www.reedculver.com. Services have been entrusted to Reed-Culver Funeral Home of Tahlequah, OK.

Billy Andrew Post was born on Nov. 7, 1928 in Woodall, the son of Andrew and Parilee (Steely) Post. He attended school at Woodall. Billy worked as a maintenance supervisor for Oklahoma City Water Treatment.


The most important part of his life was his family. He enjoyed weekends spent hunting or fishing in his favorite spot. He loved being with his children and coaching them in baseball during the summer. Every one of his children got the chance to enjoy time with dad. Billy loved people and was the good friend, neighbor, and Uncle that everyone leaned on.

He married Mary Ann Stanke and together they enjoyed a wonderful time relaxing when Billy retired from Oklahoma City in 2006. The returned to the Park Hill area and enjoyed the simple life and the peace and quiet of Park Hill.

Mary Ann passed in 2005. Billy remained with his loving family, enjoying his grandchildren and his many friends and neighbors.

Billy’s health began to fail him and he went to his eternal home on Saturday, Sept. 13, at his home with his loved ones by his side. Billy was 85 years old. He will be missed for his love, his humor and his kind heart.

Billy is preceded in death by his parents; and his second wife, Mary Ann Post.

Those left to cherish his memory include his three adored sons, Billy and Julia Post Jr. of Jacksonville, Arkansas, Dickey Lee Post of Park Hill, and Timmy Duane Post also of Park Hill. His legacy lives on in his three grand and two great-grand children, Joey Post Deedon of Cabot, Arkansas, Alisha Dawn Vegssey of Oklahoma City, Josh Post of Oklahoma, Danielle Deedon of Cabot, and Laureen Deedon, also of Cabot; as well as many cousins and a host of friends and loved ones.
