Frostburg--Robert L. Strachan, 69, native of Scotland, died yesterday at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Mary Twigg, Eckhart, following a paralytic stroke. A resident of Eckhart for the past 35 years, he had been employed by the Consolidation Coal Company until recently, when he retired. He served with the United States Army in the Spanish-American War and was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars. Other survivors include Robert L. Strachan, Jr., a son, who has been in the Army for eight years and is now stationed at Langley Field, Va.; three step-children, Mrs. Jeannette Kidwell, Thomas Gracie and Mrs. Anne Grader, Eckhart; four sisters, Mrs. Belle Whistner, Morgantown, W.Va.; Mrs. Sarah Moore, Boswell, Pa.; Mrs. Annie McNearney, Cumberland, and Miss Mary Strachan, Scotland.
