OGDEN, Utah - Funeral services for Albert Frederick Aeschlimann, 71, will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday, March 5, 2007 at Leavitt's Mortuary, Ogden. Interment is at Uintah City Cemetery.
Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. on Sunday, and one hour prior to the services at the mortuary.
He died Feb. 28, 2007, due to complications from heart surgery.

He was born Nov. 11, 1935 to William and Mima Payne Aeschlimann, in Uintah, Utah. He lived his whole life in the Ogden area, attending Weber High School and graduating in 1954 from Ogden High School.
He then entered the U.S. Navy where he served two years as a Yeoman 1st Class in Japan. He attended Weber State College.
On Sept. 20, 1957, he married his one and only true love, Marie Burden. They spent the next 49 years together, missing their 50th anniversary by seven months.

He was a member of the First Christian Church.
After returning from the Navy, he began his long career for the railroad, working for both OUR & D and the Union Pacific, retiring after 35 years. He served as the president of the old times club #6 for several years.

He loved going antique shopping and traveling with his wife. He was a very talented man, who could fix anything that needed fixing. He was an avid sports fan, especially loved the Utah Jazz, and both the University of Utah and BYU. He also loved to golf and bowl.

Survivors include his wife of Taylor, Utah; daughters Teresa Yearsley, Sherese Aeschlimann, Trudi Bennett and her husband and Tiffanie Crouch and her husband; his brother, Richard Aeschlimann and his wife; sisters and their husbands, Erma Fowers, Carol Stonehocker, Sally Abbot and Janet Jonas and 11 grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents.
