GREENVILLE, SC - Rev. Fred William Moore, 90, formerly of 8 West Avenue, widower of Martha (Margie) Leslie Moore, died July 2, 2006, at Piedmont Living Center.

A native of Pickens County, son of the late James William and Lula Belle Phillips Moore, he was a retired Assembly of God minister and a member of Praise Cathedral Church of God. He was the founder of Westside Assembly of God, was an associate pastor of Mauldin Assembly of God, and founder of the Gospel Missions.

Surviving are three daughters, Dorothy C. Cason of Belton and special friend, Chuck Ward, Shirley S. Ellis and her husband, Robert L. Ellis of Taylors, and Genevieve M. Cooper and her husband, David L. Cooper, Sr. of Greenville; ten grandchildren; and fourteen great-grandchildren.

Mr. Moore was predeceased by one son, Gerald Fred Moore; two daughters, Sandra Lea Johnson and Linda Gayle Alewine; one son-in-law, Robert W. Cason; three brothers, George Moore, Edward Moore, and Levine Moore; and three sisters, Annie Snyder, Ola Bryson, and Mary Ruth Whitlock.

Funeral services will be held 4 p.m. Wednesday at Praise Cathedral Church of God, conducted by Rev. Jerry Madden and Rev. Gordon Moore. Burial will follow in Hillcrest Memorial Gardens.

Pallbearers will be Michael Staton, Steve Cason, Scott Moore, David Cooper, Bob Ellis, and Allen Batson.

Visitation will be held 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Tuesday at The Wood Mortuary.

The family is at the home of a daughter, Genevieve Cooper, 163 E. Mountain Creek Road, Greenville.
