Mrs. Hurt was born Sept. 29, 1934, in Dalton to the late Samuel Moses and Mae Rice King.
She married Harold C. Hurt on Sept. 10, 1955, near Pocahontas. She was a homemaker and a member of the McElroy Church of Christ.
She was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers, Melvin and Hurley King.
Mrs. Hurt is survived by her husband, Harold C. Hurt of Pocahontas; her daughter, Dorothy Rene Hudnut of Machesney Park, Ill.; two brothers, Herman Rice of Pocahontas and Doyle Rice of Himitite, Mo.; three sisters, Nadine Dunning of Corning, Dorothy Harper of Ash Flat and Juanita Phillips of Bay Area, Calif.; one grandchild; one great-grandchild; and nieces, nephews and other relatives.
Memorial services will be held at a later date.
