Mrs. Norton was the daughter of Stella Mae Brown Landon and Frank Linly Landon. She was born in McLouth, Jan. 27, 1923.
Mrs. Norton was graduated from McLouth High School in 1940, and Washburn University in 1958.
She was united in marriage to Eugene Stanton Kesinger in 1943. To that union, a son, Charles Kesinger, was born in 1944. Eugene was killed in action in Germany in February 1945 during WWII. She married Elmer Richard Norton in 1946. Sons, Richard and Dennis were born in 1947 and 1948 respectively. The family lived in Tecumseh, Neb. Elmer was killed in action in Korea in May 1951.
Mrs. Norton and sons moved to Topeka in 1956. Initially whe was a member of Lowman Methodist Church, Topeka, and in recent years she was a member of Otterbein United Methodist Church, Topeka. She was active in her church.She was a member of Eastern Star. Mrs. Norton served on local election boards for many years.
Preceding her in death were her parents; her husbands; and sister, Virginia Beckett; and brothers, Leslie Landon, and Archie Landon. Survivors include three sons, Charles Kesinger, Richard Norton, and Dennis Norton; brother, Linly Landon; cousin, Lucy Landon; three grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
Internment Dec. 23, in McLouth Cemetery.
