Ida Mary Mort was born in Mountaindale a daughter of Samuel and Margaret Ann Widrick Mort and was the wife of Charles Andrew Hammond Rice of Mountaindale who predeceased her on May 9, 1953.

Ida was a life long member of the Bethel Lutheran Church.

She is survived by one son, Charles Alonzo Rice and wife Ruth Lauretta, Wilmington, Del., and one daughter, Mary Margaret Stull and husband "C.T." Charles Calvin Thomas, Mountaindale, five grandchildren,Nancy Lee Kiddoo and husband Donald Bounds; Charles Andrew Rice II and wife Karen, Margaret Rosanna Stauffer and husband William Clay; Charles Calvin Thomas Stull Jr. and wife Margaret V. and Ruth Elizabet Ridder and husband Herbert Lawrence, and four great-grandchildren and numerous friends, nieces and nephews.

Ida was the last of her immediate family, she was predeceased by three known brothers, George Mort, Charles H. Mort and Philip Mort and four known sisters, Emma Mort --?--, Laura Mort --?--, Martha Mort --?--, Phoebe Mort --?--, and one sister that did not live to maturity, Maria Mort.

Funeral held at the Creager Funeral Home, Thurmont with the Rev. Joseph W. Sabo, her pastor officiating and internment made in Mount Prospect Cemetery, Lewistown by Creager funeral directors.
