Miss Minnie E. Hill, Pioneer
Of City, Dies in Hospital
Miss Minnie E. Hill, 1226 North Shartel avenue, an '89er, died Sunday in a city hospital after several years of poor health. She was 56 years old.
When she came to Oklahoma with her parents, she attended one of the city's first public schools, on Main street.
Services tentatively have been set for 10 a. m. Tuesday In the Street and Draper funeral home and burall(sic) will be in Fairlawn cemetery.
Miss Hill was a past secretary of the 89ers society and was active in that organization as long as her health permitted. She had been secretary for the local Business and Professional club. She was a member of the First Methodist church and Rev. Lewis N. Stuckey will preach the funeral sermon.
Survivors include one sister, Mrs. O. J. Allen, El Paso, Texas; four brothers, Claude S. Hill, 819 Northwest Twenty-fourth street, Harry W. Hill, Standard, Calif., Arthur B. Hill, Plainfield, N. J., and Edgar C. Hill, Albuquerque, N. M., one niece in Oklahoma City, Mrs. Bortert Vore, and one nephew here, Marvin Hill.
