Ricky Beneux, 26, of 1214 Helberg Lane, Ozark, died Thursday, June 1, 1989, of injuries sustained in a two-vehicle accident near Etna.
Born July 4, 1962, at Ozark, he was the son of Dickie Beneux and Barbara Whitson Beneux. He was an employee of the Magnetic Corp. and a member of Calvary Baptist Church.
Survivors include his mother and stepfather, Barbara and Jim Walker of Ozark; his father, Dickie Beneux of Ozark; one sister, Cindy Warden of Ozark, with whom he was residing; one stepsister, Ginger Powell of Ozark; two stepbrothers, Bill Walker of Fort Smith and Jim Walker of Tulsa; his maternal grandparents, Arnold and Myrtle Whitson of Ozark; eight nieces, Brook Warden, Kelly and Laura Powell, Alicia, Natalie and Maggie Walker, Tara and Amber Warden; and two nephews, Wade Powell and Brad Walker.
Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Saturday at Shaffer Funeral Home Chapel, with Rev. David Newton officiating. Burial was at Highland Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Wesley Wells, Keith Head, Richard Carpenter, Buzz Minshew, Darrell O'Neal and Greg Warden.
Honorary pallbearers were Derek Brown, Don Farris, Davy Joe Kinney, Sammy Kizer, Benny Lowrey, Alvin Warden, Kenneth Warden Jr., Kenneth Warden Sr., Ray Whitson and Johnny Gossage.
