Elma, 72, passed away Oct. 3, 1997 at the Hiawatha Community Hospital.

She was born in Willis, Kans. and attended Willis Grade School and graduated from Willis High School in 1943. She married Robert Lee Hobbs in Horton, Kans. She enjoyed crafts and bingo. She worked as a telephone operator for American Telephone Co., a teller for the Bank of Horton and worked at Montgomery Ward in Horton.

Besides her husband she was preceded in death by her parents, a son Rodney L., a sister Mary, and half brother Alvin. She is survived by a son, Robert Hobbs Jr., Hiawatha, two daughters Joyce Shirley, Powhattan, and Marian Yaussi, Baker; two brothers, Harold Robinson, Watertown, N.Y. and Oscar Robinson, Horton; two sisters, Evelyn Bomberger, Atchison and Edna Hobbs, Kelso, Wash; 10 grand children, and a great grand daughter.

Graveside services held at Kennekuk cemetery.
