Mrs. Siegel was appointed by Governor Rockefeller as a trustee of the State University of New York. She was an active member of Temple Beth Israel and many other community organizations. She was very proud of her work with the early recycling program in Plattsburgh. Dr. and Mrs. Siegel moved to Sarasota, Fla., after living for five years in Long Island.
She is survived by two daughters, Jane (Siegel) Whitmore of Pittsburgh and Andrea (Siegel) Feinberg of Mill Neck, N.Y.; and three grandchildren.
As a World War II Veteran, Mrs. Siegel will be interred with her husband at Arlington National Cemetery with full military honors.
