S C Clark Interred at Prospect

Samuel Chester Clark, 81, died at 12:05 pm on Thursday, Oct 16, at the Houston Hospital. He was a retired farmer and resided on Route 3, Houston.

Funeral services were conducted at 2 pm, on Friday, Oct 17, from Houston Funeral Home Chapel, with the Rev. Howard Hathorn officiating. Interment was in Prospect Cemetery.

Pallbearers were Therrell Williams, Tom Pate, Jimmie Dale Whitt, Wm. Smith, Lewis King and Bobby Price.

The deceased was born in Chickasaw County January 20 1893, the son of Bertram Clark and Hannah Langham Clark. He was a veteran of World War I and a member of the Prospect United Methodist Church.

He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Maude Gordon Clark of Houston; one son, Sam Clark of West Point; three brothers, J M Clark of West Point, J C Clark of Como, and Jack Clark of Mammouth Springs, Ark. Five grandchildren also survive.
