Martha was the daughter of George S. & Sarah Braden Warren. She was born in 1834, in St Clair county, Alabama, a little over halfway through their many childbirths. She married Wade Hampton Pendergrass in 1855 in St Clair county. They had 4 daughters. The first one, Lousandra, died as a child, but the other 3 lived through the Civil War and the turn of the century, and gave Sarah many grandchildren. George apparently died in the Civil War; his final resting place is not known at this time.
