Howard C. Berry, aged 85, of Grand Rapids, passed away Saturday, September 14, 1996 at Butterworth Hospital. Surviving are his wife, Marlyn Berry; five step children, Benjamin and Sandy Chapman of Lowell, Susan and Paul Brown of TX, Cyndie and Dale Maack of Hudsonville, Judy Doyle of Midland, Elisabeth Riemersma of Grand Rapids; 13 grand-children; three great granddaughters; two sisters-in-law, Eloise Timmons of Comstock Park, Eleanore Hockstein of Detroit; one brother-in-law, Edward Stoman of Alpena; several nieces, nephews and two great nieces. Mr. Berry was a retired stock broker and salesman for Grand Rapids Window. He was a member of Remembrance Reformed Church. Funeral Services will be held 11:00 AM Wednesday at Remembrance Reformed Church, 1915 Maplerow Ave. NW, with his pastors, Rev. Rod Kamrath and Rev. Greg Vander Meer officiating. Interment in Alpine Township Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 7 to 9 PM Monday and from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 PM Tuesday. For those who wish, memorials may be made to the Memorial Fund of Remembrance Reformed Church or to the American Heart Association.
