Her Legacy…Age 96, died August 13, 2008 in Yuba
City, California. Ethel was born August 25, 1911 in
Brownsville, Texas. A long time resident of Live Oak, she
enjoyed gardening, canning, cooking and raising chickens.
A devoted mother, grandmother and caregiver. She was a
member of the Gridley Seventh Day Adventist Church.
Her Family…Preceded in death by her parents and a
daughter Pauline Burchinal. Survived by sons Oliver,
Eugene, and Paul; daughters Marcie Bivins and Odessia
Carter; 19 grandchildren 28 great-grandchildren and 21
great-great-grandchildren.
Her Farewell Service ...Were held August 19, 2008
her service was officiated by Mr. Vic Cady of the Gridley
Seventh Day Adventist Church. Interment followed at the
Live Oak District Cemetery. Contributions to Sutter North
Hospice are suggested by the family
