Andrew Ambuhl Funeral services for the late Andrew Ambuhl were held at the German Presbyterian church yesterday afternoon at 2 30 o'clock The pastor Rev. G. E. Relbert conducted the services. Interment was made to Woodland cemetery Andrew Ambuhl was 'born January 3, 1844, In Canton, Graufouenten, .Switzerland. At the age of 11 years he came to this country with his parents Both parents died as a result of an epidemic shortly after their arrival in Fountain City. After the Civil war broke out Mr. Ambuhl enrolled as a private of Company C 2nd Regiment of Wisconsin Cavalry on December 13, 1861, and was honorably discharged at St- Louis on September 1, 1865 He was united in marriage with Maria Kaeslnger aa April 18, 1868, who nine years later preceded him in death To this union three sons and two daughters were born, of whom all are dead except one son. On April 26, 1877, he was again married and this time with Wilhelmna Klavitter of Winona This union, was blessed with four sons and one daughter, two of the sous preceding the father in death. For about fourteen years the deceased lived on a farm in Buffalo county, Wis. then for seven years in Winona, after his twelve years on a farm near Pickwick and finally he retired residing for eighteen years at 476 East Mark street His death followed a long and (patient suffering on June 23, 1916 He Is survived by his bereaved wife the son* John of Winona. Henry of Gemalta, Canada, and Andrew of Lake City, one daughter Mrs Lena Yahnke of Potlatch, Idaho, and one brother John Ambuhl of Faribault, Minn. Those acting as pallbearers were George Figge, J W Plate, F Hellman,J Erdmann, C Radeske and C Schmidt.
