KLASS - Mildred (Jayne), 86, formerly of Tulsa, passed away, Thursday, October 15, 2009, in Denver, CO. Born March 9, 1923, in Skeedee, OK to the late Lloyd and Nellie (Perrine) Welker. Jayne attended Tahlequah State University and was a Tulsa Public School secretary. She was a youth worker at Tulsa Baptist Temple 30 years and served as a mentor at Eastland Baptist Church for 25 years. She had numerous articles published in the Baptist Bible Tribune and other Christian publications. Preceded in death by two brothers, John and Gerald and son-in-law, Bill Esch. Survived by her husband, of 67 years, Delbert; son, Ron (Ledonna) of Denver, daughter, Karen Esch of Longmont, CO, son, David (Cathy) of Clancy, MT; brother, Merle Welker (Beverly) of Pawnee, OK; 8 grandchildren, 8 great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Family will receive friends, Thursday, October 22, 4-7 p.m., at Freeman Harris Funeral Home. A Memorial Service will be held 11 a.m., Friday, October 23, 2009, at Eastland Baptist Church Family Center.
