Mr. Ben W. Banks, aged 83 years, died at his home six miles west of Dardanelle at 6:15 o'clock, Saturday, January 30, 1943.

Mr. Banks, a native of Yell County, was well known and highly respected as an honorable, upright man, a useful citizen and a progressive and successful farmer and stock-raiser. He was a member of the Baptist Church.

Funeral services were held Sunday afternoon at the New Hope Baptist Church, with Rev. Loyal Pryor officiating. Mrs. Noble Roberts was in charge of the music, assisted by the New Hope Choir. Burial was in New Hope Cemetery, under direction of the Cornwell Funeral Home.

Pallbearers were four grandsons, Robert Banks and Vernon Banks, of Dardanelle, and Buddy and Everette Adcock, of Little Rock, and two nephews, Ned Johnston, of Little Rock, and Murphy Banks, of Dardanelle.

Survivors are: Three daughters, Mrs. Charley Adcock, Mrs. Vernon Boling and Mrs. Norma McGuire, of Dardanelle; two sons, Hardy and Roger Banks, of Dardanelle; one step-son, Jess Landers, of McPherson Kansas; one brother, Tull Banks of Dardanelle; and several grandchildren, great grandchildren and nieces and nephews.
