Numa - Mrs. Martha G. Christy of 401 So. Cottage Grove, Urbana, IL. former resident of Numa passed away Wednesday, Sept. 22, 1971 at 1 am at the age of 89 years, 11 months and 9 days. Born Oct. 13,, 1881 in Lucas County. She was the daughter of Thomas and Ann Lovitt Mangnall.
She was married to Oran V. Christy in Seymour in 1901 and he preceded her in death on April 1, 1957. She was also preceded by her parents, four brothers and a sister.
Survivors include two daughters, Mrs. Glen Rear and Mrs. Ethel Murphy of Urbana, Il., two grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Mrs. Christy was a member of the Numa Christian Church.
Funeral services will be held Saturday at 10 am from the Johnson Funeral Home with burial in the Numa Cemetery. The family will be at the funeral home Friday eveninag from 7 to 9 pm.
