Buckley Howard M., 72, of Saint Petersburg, died Wednesday (June 11 1997) at Columbia St. Petersburg Medical Center (St. Pete General). He came here in 1956 from his native Bath, N.Y.
He retired after 31 years as a nursing assistant for the VA Medical Center at Bay Pines. He was a Navy veteran of World War II and a member of VFW post 1470, Bath.
He was a Protestant and a sportsman. survivors include his wife of 48 years, Barbara J.; two sons, Marvin (Deceased 2017), Lingle Wyoming and Randy, Bradford New York; Two daughters, Nancy Ferguson (Deceased 2016), Bath New York (now living in St. Petersburg) and Debbie Tillotson (Deceased 2010), Saint Petersburg (was living in Brooksville); two sisters, Cynthia Branning (Deceased 2015) of Orange City and Louise Hastings (Deceased 1998), of South Carolina; Two brothers, James (Deceased 2003), Kanona New York and Ronald (Deceased 2010), Massachusetts; six grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
