Mrs. Laura Joyner Phillips, 58, wife of Albert L. Phillips, of 1810 Fifteenth street, entered into rest at 8:05 p.m., Friday, November 8, 1946, at the residence. She had been ill for 11 weeks. Mrs. Phillips had been a resident of Augusta for the last ten years. She was a native of Statesboro, Ga. Surviving, besides her husband, are six sons, Harris Joyner and Deamon Bragg, of Detroit, Mich., Adrian Joyner, Ezra Bragg and C.L. Bragg, of Augusta, and Henry Bragg, United States Navy; two daughters, Mrs. J.D. Bland and Mrs. J.S. Inglett, of Augusta; three brothers, Willie Joyner, of Augusta, and J.H. Joyner, of Millen, and Ellis Joyner, of the Merchant Marines; three sisters, Mrs. Alton Edenfield, of Statesboro, Mrs. G.W. Wilson, of Savannah, Mrs. A.J. Cauley, of Millen; 19 grandchildren and a number of nephews. Funeral services will be held at the Church of God, Tuesday afternoon at 4 o'clock. The Rev. Max L. Atkins will officiate. Interment will be in Hillcrest Memorial Park cemetery. Pallbearers will be: A.B. Ivey, R.L. Johnson, Jim Johnson, Josh Johnson, Marion Hazel and W.T. Hayes. Elliott Sons.
