Lloyd M. Erickson
Lloyd Melvin Erickson, 65, of North Branch died peacefully in his sleep at home after a five-month battle with cancer on June 28, 1997. Lloyd was born on July 26, 1931 in North Branch to Henry and Hulda (Keacher) Erickson. On April 20,1957, he married Marlene Henricks. Lloyd worked for 20 years at Minneapolis Moline and 20 years at Unisys. He served in the army during the Korean War.
Lloyd is survived by his loving wife of 40 years, Marlene; one son John and girlfriend Karlene of North Branch; two daughters: Terri Hendricks and husband Bryan of Cambridge, Tammi McCarthy and husband Mike of Cedar; three grandchildren: Nathan and Heidi Hendricks and Jared McCarthy; two sisters: Lorna Kommer of North Branch and Jeanette Nordin and husband Craig of Ham Lake; and many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
Lloyd was a great handyman and loved working on projects at home and was always planning new ones. He will be sadly missed by all of us.
His funeral was at St. Johns Lutheran Church in Weber, Minnesota. Lloyd is buried in the St. Johns Cemetery, Weber, Minnesota.
An old friend of Lloyd's remembers that he suffered earaches as a child. He always wore caps with big snapped ear flaps to protect his ears. He attended Dist. 55 west of North Branch. He was timid and very nice.
