The man who helped beautify Pacific Avenue with flowering plum trees and who kept a close eye on Rogers Park from his home across the street for 34 years, Delbert Earl Brigham, died May 7, at Tuality Hospital at the age of 90 years.

Funeral was held Tuesday, May 10, at Forest Grove Memorial Chapel with the Rev. Richard Osburn of United Church of Christ and the Rev. Del Keller of United Methodist Church officiating. Entombment followed at Forest View Mausoleum.

Mr. Brigham was born May 19, 1886 at Shelby, Neb. where he received his education. He moved to Oregon and Forest Grove in 1943. He was an insurance agent until his retirement. He was a member of United Methodist Church and Forest Grove Rotary Club. He was a Rotarian for more than 32 years and was honored for 31 years of perfect attendance.

He married Vella V. Knerr on March 25, 1908. They celebrated their 69th wedding anniversary this spring. She survives as do a daughter, Mrs. Arne (Evelyn) Evenson of Lake Oswego; brother, Ray Brigham of Shelby, Neb.; four grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. Two brothers and a daughter, Leah Lee, died earlier.
