He waa a US Veteran who lived in Rarotonga. He had a cerebral hemmorage snd died 4 months later of a myocardial infarction. He was buried at Muri Ngatangiia, Rarotonga, after dying at Tupapa Rarotonga.

He was the son of Archibald Walter Archer and Ellen Dabney D'Wolfe Archer and had lived in the islands for 25 years.

He was survived by his widow Pupukura Keu Archer and children Mary, Christina, Raymond, and Ngapoko Archer.

In 1910 he lived in Bristol, RI, by 1920 he and his parents were living in Richmond, N.Y. and in 1930 he was at the Bible Institute in Los Angeles and listed as having been married 7 years.

In 1918 he had registered for the WWI Draft in Manhattan where he lived. Then joined the US Navy on April 4, 1918 in New York. He was discharged by the navy on September 30, 1921 at the "convience of the government" meaning they downsized after the war was over.

He was admitted to the Soldiers and Sailers home at Sawtelle in Los Angeles on August 21, 1930, suffering from acute arthritis and acute cistitis. He stated he was divorced and that his next of kin was his mother Mrs Nellie Archer of 423 Kedzie Street in Evanton, Illinois.

He had been there after his discharge and was an engineer. He was described as 71 inches tall, ruddy complexion, blue eyes and brown hair and was a protestant.
