Kathryn "Kathy" Anderson, 65, of Topeka, passed away at her home of natural causes, Monday, October 13, 2008.
Kathy was born July 17, 1943 in Rockford, Illinois the daughter of Donald and Elsie Small Ross. She spent the majority of her life in Topeka graduating from Washburn Rural High School in 1961. She attended Emporia State University and Washburn University.
She had attended First Baptist Church and was a member of the ABWA.
She had worked for Victory Life Insurance and H&R Block. Kathy was currently employed by the State of Kansas SRS working in Lawrence, Kansas.
She was preceded in death by her father. Survivors include her mother, Elsie Ross, Topeka; one sister, Kandy Lehmann, Topeka; one brother, Kim Ross, Holton, KS; eleven nieces and nephews, 20 great nieces and nephews, and three great great nieces.
Kathy will lie in state after 2:00 p.m. Friday at the Penwell-Gabel Mid Town Chapel where the family will greet friends from 6:30 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. that evening.
Funeral services will be held 10:00 a.m., Saturday at the First Baptist Church, 3033 S.W. MacVicar Avenue, Topeka, KS.
Graveside services will follow at 1:30 p.m. at the Zion Lutheran Cemetery Everest, Kansas.
Memorial contributions may be given to the First Baptist Church Youth Programs.
