Jesse H. Granbury, 95, of Lubbock passed away Thursday, October 15, 2009. He was born March 15, 1914 in Ft. Worth to Clyde and Nora Granbury. He graduated from Lubbock High School and served in the United States Army during World War II. Jesse married Newma Mae Roberts on November 10, 1936. She preceded him in death on June 24, 2007. Jesse owned and operated several dry cleaners in Lubbock thru the years, most recently being The Granbury Cleaners. He was a Presbyterian.
His survivors include a son, Wayne of Lubbock; grandchildren, Michael Granbury and wife Renee, and Donna Granbury both of Lubbock; and a great-grandson, Jesse Cole Granbury.
A memorial service will be held at 10 a.m. Monday, October 19, 2009 at the Sanders Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Travis Zachary officiating.
