He married Elma Fletcher in 1933. He was an officer in US Coast Guard during WW II and since he was married with four children, served on the Seattle Volunteer Port Security Force.
He was an avid golfer, hunter, fisherman, enjoyed his boat which he kept at Meydenbauer Yacht Club in Bellevue, and had more friends than anyone I have ever known. He could step out of a cab in a strange city and make a life-long friend within an hour. The photo was taken at his 80th birthday party at his home in Woodinville.
Elma died in 1961. He married Patricia Smith in 1962. Pat died in 1975 and he married Mena Rudd in 1976. Mena died in Portland, OR in 2004. Elma and Pat are both buried with him.
