Sunday morning the bad news was carried from house to house that Mrs. Wm. Baker was dead. Deceased was the wife of Wm. Baker, living two and one half miles northeast of Rose Hill. Mrs. Baker was born 11 Mar 1841; married to Mr, Baker 3 Nov 1861; died Sunday morn 7 Feb 1904. Her funeral was preached by Rev. J.K. Dillon of Greenup at the Universalist Church, east of Rose Hill, of which she was a member, having joined in 1883, when the church was organized. Mrs. Baker was all sunshine, all joy, when in health. Go to her home, and you always found a welcome. She made no distinction between the rich and the poor, and never did she turn a hungry soul away empty handed. Look upon the walls of her home, and your eyes would behold the beauties of art and nature. This wife and mother will be most sadly missed, and having been a companion for forty three years, always ready to assist, and make the path of life pleasant, sharing both trials and hardships. She leaves a good and kind husband, three children: Frank, Charles and Cora Bowers, one brother, Abraham Ray, besides other relatives and many friends. Her body was laid to rest Monday in the Hunt graveyard
