Mrs. Cheney was born in Streator. She was a member of the Church of Good Shepherd Evangelical Covenant in Crest Hill.
She is survived by her husband, Raymond; a daughter, Barbara (Gregory) Gleason of Homer Glen; a son, Gerald of Oakland, California; two grandchildren, Colleen Schoffstall and Sean Gleason; three great-granddaughters; and three sisters, Rudell Sweet of California, Ruth (Richard) Pollett of Streator and Mildred Day of Washington.
She was preceded in death by two brothers and a sister.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the Church of the Good Shepherd Evangelical Covenant.
