Shirley E. Cornell of Newburgh, entered into rest suddenly Monday, September 28, 2009 at St. Luke's Cornwall Hospital, Cornwall Campus. She was 82.
Born July 11, 1927 in New Woodstock, NY, she was wife of the late Paul Cornell who died August 15, 1984.
Shirley is survived by her daughter, Darlene Cornell of Newburgh; sister, Shirley Holmes of Bradenton, FL; sisters-in-law, Beatrice Cornell of Newburgh and Dolly Pettengill; and several nieces and nephews.
Friends may call on Thursday, October 1, from 4-7 p.m. at White & Venuto Funeral Home, 188 N. Plank Rd. (Rte. 32), Town of Newburgh. Funeral service will commence at 7 p.m. with Pastor Dennis Ashley officiating.
Burial will take place at 11 a.m., Friday, October 2, at New Woodstock Cemetery, New Woodstock, NY.
