Mrs Phoebe Ann Bell, 89, of Rt 2, Kokomo, died at 1:40 a.m. Saturday at her residence. She had been in poor health for a year. Born Oct. 15, 1886, in Ervin Township, Howard County, she was the daughter of Abraham and Mary Martin Perkins.

She was married Aug. 6, 1911, to Charles Roscoe Bell, who preceded her in death in 1917.

A life-long resident of Ervin Township, she was a member of the Poplar Grove United Methodist Church and a charter member of the Home Circle Club, founded in 1928.

Survivors include a son, Calvin G. Bell of Kokomo, a daughter. Miss Edith Bell of Rt. 2, Kokomo; a sister, Mrs Lillie Pickering of Kokomo; eight grandchildren and 22 great grandchildren.

A daughter, two brothers and a sister preceded her in death.

Services were Wednesday at Neptune Funeral Home in Burlington with the Rev. Robert Weaver officiating. Burial was-in Mound Cemetery, Howard County.
