Heber A. Nelson of Pocatello, Idaho passed away last Tuesday from pneumonia. He was taken sick a week previous at his home in Pocatello from which he was taken to a hospital in Pocatello and from there to the Veterans Hospital in Salt Lake City, where he passed away.
Heber A. Nelson was born in Afton, Wyoming on July 8, 1890. He was the son of Joseph Smith Nelson and Hannah Pattent Nelson. The family moved from Afton to Thayne where Mr Nelson lived up until the time he enlisted in the World War. Mr Nelson served two years overseas and was in the heavy firing lines. He was gassed at that time and has been a constant sufferer since.
In 1922 he was united in marriage to Emma Wolverine of Preston, Idaho. To this union were born two children, Jay eleven, and June ten years old.
Mr. Nelson operated the Kozy Barber Shop in Pocatello for some years.
Heber A, Nelson was given a full military funeral service at the Halls Mortuary at Pocatello, Idaho and a military burial at the Pocatello cemetery.
Mr Nelson is survived by his widow and two children, one brother George P. Nelson of Draper, Utah, and two sisters, Nancy Rasmussen of Preston, Idaho, and Mahala Hebdan of Preston.
Relatives from the valley who attended the funeral were Mr. and Mrs. Willard Nelson and children, Mr and Mrs. Loren Nelson, Mrs. Jed Nelson, Mrs. Stella Nester, and Mrs. Ivan Draney.
