all the children learned all aspects of the farm life and were responsible for the raising of the principle crop of sugar beets. She attended public schools there and BYU in Provo, before accepting a teaching position. She later returned and Graduated from BYU in 1929 with a degree in Physical Education, the first in her family with a degree. After graduation she taught 4 years in Overton, NV, then relocated to Idaho teaching at Arimo High and Madison High in Rexburg before her marriage in 1939 to Murray Evans.
She worked in the office of Troy Parisian Laundry in Pocatello until the birth of her children when she became a stay at home mother until they were of school age. She returned to work from 1950 to 1952 as secretary to "Rip" Gledhill, principal at Pocatello Hi. In 1952 she returned to teaching health and typing at PHS until she transferred to Irving Jr. Hi in 1958 and then Highland Hi in 1963, from which she retired in 1968. She spent a total of 30 years teaching various subjects ranging from PE, Health, Typing, Shorthand and English.
At the time of her death she was survived by her husband of 39 years, two children and two grandchildren, one brother Ray Hansen, Provo, UT and a sister Fern Quinn, Idaho Falls, ID and several nieces and nephews.
