She was born on Dec. 27, 1930, in Fulton Co., Ill., to John R. and Mary Coney Beadles. She married Guy M. Bordner on Sept. 1, 1950, in East Peoria, Ill. On Sept. 1, 2005, they celebrated their 55th wedding anniversary, and he survives.
Also surviving are one daughter, Pamela (George) Riney of Chicago; one son, Craig (Donna) Bordner of East Peoria; one brother, Fred Beadles of Canton; two grandsons; five stepgrandchildren; two great-granddaughters; and three stepgreat-granddaughters.
She was preceded in death by an infant son, Glen; three half sisters; two brothers; two sisters; and her parents.
She was a payroll administrator for Caterpillar Inc., where she worked for 18 years. She also worked for Miller Bakery in Morton as a clerk for seven years.
She was a member of the First United Methodist Church of East Peoria for more than 40 years and was a Sunday school teacher for the 2-year-old class for 10 years. She also was a member of the United Methodist Women, the Moose Lodge #916 in Pekin, and was a volunteer at the FOLEPI Marketplace in East Peoria.
A loving wife, mother, and grandmother, she enjoyed cooking and baking for her family.
A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 12, 2005, at Deiters Funeral Home at 444 E. Washington St. in East Peoria. The Rev. Dr. Alan New-hall will officiate. Visitation will be held one hour prior to services on Wednesday at the funeral home. Burial will be at Roberts Cemetery in Morton.
Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society or to her church.
