Doris E. Clark, 71, St. Joseph, died Tuesday, June 20, 1989, at a local hospital.
Mrs. Clark was born in St. Joseph where she resided most of her life.
She was employed as a department head at National Bellas Hess for 23 years until its closing. Mrs Clark was a member of the Savannah Avenue Baptist Church;Gleaner Sunday School Class at the church; and the Office & Professional Employees International Union Local 320 AFL-CIO.
Mrs. Clark was preceded in death by a daughter, Patsy Clark on Oct. 30 1987;two grandchildren; and a great-grandchild.
Surviving: her husband, Eddie L Clark, of the home; two sons, William D. of Atchison, Kan., and David R. Aurora Colo.; two daughters, Beverly Noland, and Barbara Thurman, both of St. Joseph; a sister Velma Robison Matney of Raytown, Mo.; 12 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; a great-great grandchild; 5 step grandchildren; 9 step-great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Services: 11 a.m. Friday, Heaton-Bowman-Smith & Sidenfaden Chapel. Burial, Memorial Park. Visitation:7 to 8:30 tonight at the chapel where friends may call after 9 a.m. today.
